Mission
Trees in public spaces are a resource which provides great benefit to people, wildlife, and the ecosystem. The mission of the Shade Tree Committee is to ensure that trees within the Borough of Swissvale are planted, maintained, and fostered with due regard for public safety, economy, education, and enjoyment.

If you are interested in having a new tree planted in the borough right-of-way along the street near your property please fill out and submit the following form to swissvale.tree.committee@gmail.com

Monthly Meetings
The Committee typically meets at 7:00pm on the second Tuesday of the month at the Wilkins School Community Center. Meeting dates are subject to change, so be sure to check this page for schedule updates. DUE TO CORONAVIRUS CONCERNS, OUR MEETINGS ARE CURRENTLY BEING HELD ON ZOOM.
